What We Do

What We Do

Corporate OVerviews

Events hosted by business recruiters that provide a great opportunity for students to learn more about a certain firm and a chance to talk and ask questions to the recruiter without the hectic atmosphere of the Career Fair.

Honing Professional Skills

We host resume reviews and mock interviews to increase the readiness for our members. These events are hosted once or twice a year with the help of our network of recruiters and professionals.

Social Events

Ascend hosts social events to help members socialize in a casual environment. We also have a mentor/mentee system so general members can get to know our executive board members.

Collaborations

Collaborations

Some events are sponsored with other business club at Smith such as ALPFA, NABA, or WBA as well as professional organizations like Ascend Greater Washington (GW). These events form connections among members of other clubs and pave way to more networking opportunities.

Volunteering

At Ascend, we strive to always give back to community. Throughout the year, we participate in volunteering events hosted by the community, other organizations, or from Ascend GW.
